Community Project is here at Garfield STEAM Academy to provide FREE lunch for our community! You are invited to come eat with us, even if you already stopped by the Swap Shop today.

Sand Springs Public Schools families are invited to the Sand Springs Swap Shop, where families can pick up gently used clothing, shoes, home goods, and more, all at no cost!
Date: TODAY, August 14, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Location: Garfield STEAM Academy, 701 N Roosevelt Ave, Sand Springs, OK 74063

Shopping is completely free. Those who are able are encouraged to bring one canned food item as a suggested donation, but a donation is not required to participate.

Several community partners will also be available to connect families with additional resources and support:
• Sand Springs Care Closet
• MatterMart
• Sand Springs Community Services
• The Spring Shelter — 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
• Community Project — Free meal beginning at 11:30 a.m.
• Oklahoma Caring Foundation Caring Van — Free immunizations from 1–3 p.m.

Come shop, connect with community resources, and find what your family needs!

Congratulations to our 11th grade Special Olympic athletes who earned their letter jackets today at our district-wide Special Olympics send-off!!

We also added Special Olympics patches to letter jackets for our 11th grade Unified partners!

A huge thank you to our generous anonymous donor who provides these jackets for our athletes every year!

It’s the BEST day of the year!!

Yesterday, almost 90 (YES, NINETY) Sandite Special Olympians and partners from Garfield, Limestone, Northwoods and CBMS competed in the Special Olympics Unified Co****le Area event in Owasso.

What is the purpose of partnering our athletes and their peers? To promote social inclusion, friendship, and understanding, creating a culture of acceptance where athletes showcase their abilities, build confidence, and form meaningful relationships.

We are incredibly proud of these students and their accomplishments! 💛🖤

CPHS:

Also, two of our CPHS partners stepped in and helped their opponents in the field when they didn’t have enough players- that’s what it’s all about!
