These two were so excited that they read the whole book, over 70 pages!

We love to write! Learning more words each and every day. Today we focused on the "ch" sound. Students learned that whenever you see "ch" together it makes one sound. Phrases we wrote about: crab can pinch, man on bench, big lunch, and munch on chips.

Treasure Chest was a hit on Friday!

We have been journal writing and I'm so excited to show you some examples of what the kiddos have been doing. During journal writing time, there are no organization rules. Kiddos are encouraged to just write and illustrate. It's designed to get them engaged in writing and to enjoy the experience. Writing rules are handled during Language Arts time. That's when we stay between the lines and work on structure! I was able to read these entries, and I'm so excited! "I like to play with my friend". " " I want to be a princess". "I like to play with my cat, I like to play with my dad, I like to play with my mom, I like to play with my family". Yay!

The Gingerbread man needs to hide from the fox. Our "Save the Gingerbread Man" project. We had a pirate, Santa Claus, a ballerina, a princess, Spiderman, an elf boy, a cow, a Hawaiian native and so much more! What fun!
