🏰✨ SPIRIT WEEK: DISNEY DAY! ✨🏰

A little Disney magic made its way to Discovery Play Preschool for Disney Day! 💜

We had Elsa, Toy Story, and Minnie Mouse represented—and even Ms. Cherice joined the fun with her Minnie ears! 🎀🐭

But Disney Day wasn’t just about dressing up! Our explorers spent the day doing what they do best… PLAYING, CREATING & DISCOVERING!

🚗 Driving cars and trucks outside
🎨 Creating with dot markers
🧩 Playing a matching Bingo game
👗 Using their imaginations with dress-up
✂️ Getting creative with markers, tape, paper, scissors, and whatever else inspired their ideas!

One of my favorite things about our days at DPP is that learning doesn’t always have to look like a “lesson.” Sometimes it looks like a child with a roll of tape, a pair of scissors, some paper, and an idea they can’t wait to bring to life. 💜

That’s the magic of learning through play—and today, we added a little Disney magic too! ✨🏰

🌈 SPIRIT WEEK: FAVORITE COLOR DAY! 🌈

Spirit Week continued at Discovery Play Preschool with Favorite Color Day, and our explorers brought a little rainbow into the classroom! 💕💙💜🩶

Our favorite colors of the day included pink, light blue, blue, purple, and gray! Of course, we couldn’t just wear our favorite colors—we had plenty of exploring, creating, moving, and learning to do too!

Between our morning and afternoon classes, our explorers:
🎨 Created with watercolors
🧩 Worked together on an ocean floor puzzle
🧘🏾‍♀️ Stretched and moved with yoga
🔎 Played a fun matching game

✨ And enjoyed lots more learning through play!
Spirit Week may add a little extra fun to our days, but at DPP, there are always opportunities to explore, create, discover, and grow! 💜

🙃 SPIRIT WEEK: INSIDE OUT DAY! 🙃

We kicked off Spirit Week at Discovery Play Preschool by turning things INSIDE OUT! 😂

Shirts, dresses, shorts… if we could flip it, we wore it inside out! Our explorers had so much fun showing off their backwards seams, tags, and pockets for Inside Out Day! 👕👖

Spirit Week is all about adding a little extra FUN to our school days, building community, and making memories together. 💜

And this was only Day 1! We have a whole week of silliness ahead of us! 🎉

Next up… Favorite Color Day! 🌈

⭐️⭐️ 2 STARS for the Discovery Play Preschool Restaurant! 😂🍽️

Yesterday, our explorers opened up their very own restaurant, and of course, Ms. Cherice had to stop in for dinner!

My server was very nice and took my order. 👏🏾
The cook was busy in the kitchen. 👨🏾‍🍳
But there was just one little problem…

I NEVER GOT MY DINNER! 🤣

Now, I did receive my dessert 🍰, so that helped a little. And because my server was so nice, I gave the restaurant TWO stars instead of ONE. ⭐️⭐️

Will I return?
Ehhh… I told them I’d have to think about it! 😂😂

All jokes aside, dramatic play may look like “just playing restaurant,” but our explorers are practicing communication, cooperation, problem-solving, imagination, taking turns, and so much more.

Because at Discovery Play Preschool, play IS learning! 💜
