I keep thinking the rain is going to end but it doesn’t. And neither does the cold. So I’m going to put more wildflower seed bombs on my porch this weekend if anyone wants to grab them and throw them in the ground before the rain comes on Monday.  PM me for my address.

A milkweed plant was spotted on Santander. We are trying to bring back the endangered Monarch Butterflies. It takes years for Monarchs to add these to their stops. Saw one this year, hoping more find us here in west San Ramon. SRV Monarchs

Although great news for homeowners leaving the state and area, this has become a community problem. Teacher, policemen, fire fighters, nurses are not people who can afford to move here on their salaries. We will start to see the mid to long term impacts of this over the next 4 years. I look at the Pennisula where they have been dealing with this for over 10 years. No local Teachers, no contractors, police... they have to commute into the area. And because of this, salaries eventualy rise but the community suffers.
The Mercury News has been publishing a series of articles on our housing crisis from homeownership to the incredibly competitive rental market, to the slippery slope of homelessness and families who loose 1 income.

Bay Area home prices continue to rise at double-digit rates. “The first time, it was like a sticker shock,” said one recent Morgan Hill home buyer. “You have to adjust.”
