In Bok Fu Do, we train all aspects of martial arts. We also know the importance of building community and teamwork with others. That’s why in classes, you might find yourself training hard, but having too much fun to notice. How does having fun with drills like this in class help your training? Let us know in the comments!

What’s the best way to help your classmates improve? Giving them your best right back!

Mr. Lee had his Thursday night class all demonstrate a purple belt technique to help guide the lower ranks on how to express their chi like a higher rank.

How do you like giving back to your classmates and your school?

Our San Ramon Adult Class is hard at work on their blocks and application techniques. With work, kids, and everything in between, it can be a challenge to find balance in someone’s schedule and in life. With Bok Fu Do, we train the discipline, physically and mentally, to help all of our students create balance in their lives, challenge themselves, relieve stress, and have fun doing it!
How does Bok Fu Do help you find that balance in life and relieve that daily stress? Let us know in the comments!

These Alamo students have been working on their body position and their balance, keeping a cup from falling off their heads. What are some other fun ways your teachers have had you work on your balance?

We had some great enthusiasm on the weapons class in Lafayette! Each week these students come in to focus on their different weapons forms and skills. It’s great to see how they prioritize coming to these classes when they have school, other sports, and extracurriculars going on as well. What do you look forward to most in the next few months of training? Let us know in the comments!

Learning kung fu develops a student mentally, physically, and emotionally. As an example: all of these Green Belts started as beginners and look at how much they’ve grown over years of practice and effort.

How has learning kung fu changed you for the better? Leave a comment and let us know!

Mr. Hodge took some time before classes to go over some of the history of the school with a group of Orange Belts in Alamo. Our school has been competing at the World Level for over 50 years, but it’s just as important that we share that knowledge with our students. Next time you come in, read one of our posters and learn about our school’s rich history!

Students aren’t the only ones that flock to our schools!

Check out the San Ramon geese next time you come by the school. They love to be around the school with its positive and welcoming spirit.

These birds are so smart. Why fly South when we have East and West right here?

One of the most important aspects of what we teach our students is the importance of communication, and how to improve our skills so we can have quality dialogue with others.

This past week, our Teen Campers got to work one on one having conversations with their classmates while taking turns holding a low position in a push-up. Keep up the good work, Campers!
