Within 10 mins of our waking safari, we happened along this beauty. The dust is sunscreen, much like when they roll in the mud. Another was down the creek, and a mama with her baby were a few bushes from us 😮 We stayed a couple minutes- silently watching and then snuck away. Exhilarating! ⁣

☄️Bird of the Day: ⁣
Silvery-cheeked Hornbill! ⁣
Saw this taxidermy and said “I want to see this!” A few hours later I spotted one wayyy up in the trees- didn’t get good pics oh well. Saw 2 more in evening! ⁣
The mostly hollow structure above beak is called the casque. Helps amplify calls in the thick forest. Males r larger. ⁣
