The sufficiency of Scripture is a conviction that must remain central to the life and ministry of the church. God’s Word is sufficient to equip believers for faithful Christian living and to guide pastors as they shepherd His people.

On November 6–7, the Sufficiency of Scripture Summit will bring together pastors, ministry leaders, and believers at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, to affirm and defend this essential doctrine.

We encourage you to join us alongside The Master's University and other like-minded ministries for this important gathering as we affirm our confidence in the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word.

God has spoken through His Word, and He has given us everything we need for faith and godliness. Scripture teaches us how to know Him, walk in obedience, and faithfully serve His church.

This is especially important for those called to pastoral ministry. Their preaching, shepherding, and every aspect of ministry must be grounded in the conviction that God’s Word is sufficient.

The Georgian MacArthur Study Bible is ready to make its way into the hands of the church in Georgia.

Through TMAI Global Publications, we’ve had the privilege of helping bring this project together in partnership with Grace to You, Slavic Gospel Association, and believers in Georgia.

We’re grateful for everyone who helped make this possible. Please pray as these Bibles are sent out, that the Lord would use them to equip pastors, strengthen believers, and serve His church in Georgia for years to come.

Those who are called to serve Christ and His church need confidence in the Word of God. They must know it, love it, and trust it as the truth that shapes their ministry and sustains them as they faithfully serve the Lord.

In his chapter “Fidelity to the Word of God in Missions” from the Biblical Missions textbook, Dr. Abner Chou writes about the first missionaries and the legacy they left for those who would follow. Their confidence in Scripture shaped their preaching, their ministry, and how they endured suffering, setting an example of faithfulness for those who would carry on the work.

After years of prayer and patience, Central African Preaching Academy (CAPA) in Malawi launched a two-year Advanced Certificate of Biblical Studies in August. So far, 12 students are enrolled in the program, which is “designed to equip church members and church leaders with a strong foundation in Bible, theology, and Christian worldview,” according to CAPA president Kellen Hiroto.

CAPA is also thankful for its expanding faculty and staff team, including CAPA graduate Chisomo Masambuka, who completed his studies at The Master’s Seminary this year and is now serving as a faculty member and dean of students.

CAPA asks for prayer as its students adjust to the demands of the new program. Please pray for diligence, hard work, and joy as they continue their studies. They also ask for prayer for the Expositor’s Conference this November, which will focus on “The Sufficiency of Scripture,” and for CAPA’s continued work to train rural pastors through the Theological Studies by Extension program.

Faithful preaching requires humility. We proclaim what God has said and trust Him to do what only He can do.

Shannon Hurley has served in Uganda for more than two decades through Sufficiency of Scripture Ministries, training and discipling men for pastoral ministry. He also serves through Shepherds Training College, a TMAI Candidate School.

In this message, Shannon speaks about the place of expository preaching in making disciples and equipping faithful church leaders.
