Climate Week NYC Round-Up! 🌎☀️
Chief Operating Officer Stephen Miller represented SEI at Climate Week NYC. It was the largest yet of such gatherings — a chance to share bright spots and to inspire progress toward addressing our pressing climate challenge. The week offered SEI a chance to broaden and deepen relationships with partners from education through to the workforce. Steve participated in a panel on the future of the building energy workforce, alongside folks from Erin Garrity (Trane Technologies); Bill Kent (Association of Energy Engineers); and Courtney Haynes (Opportunity @ Work).

SEI is thrilled to spotlight our partner — San Timoteo Energy Associates!

San Timoteo Energy Associates, with their decades of experience in sustainable facilities management, saw a need for a stronger energy workforce. This led to a partnership with SEI to strengthen the practical skills of their Climate Corps Fellows through real-world building performance projects. Together, we created the Green Building Practicum.

Today, Green Building Practicum graduates are energy auditors, retrofit project managers, building automation specialists, and sustainability professionals throughout the West Coast.
