A Middle College scholar making a name for herself on a national scale! Congrats!!

CCC and Middle College grad Jeanelle Hope is basically a rock star scholar. She was awarded the Kennedy-King Scholarship (have you turned in your foundation scholarship app?) her work on Afro-Asian solidarity won a prize for best thesis of the year, and she has conducted original research on black girlhood, education and Sacramento history. Last we heard from Jeanelle, she was leaving her position at UC Davis to teach at Texas Christian University.

Normally, we wouldn't use a wedding photo--even one this awesome--for a story about an alum. But this one just happens to be from Essence magazine, which ran a feature on the occasion. So, that should tell you a little about how awesome and influential she is.
