Good morning!
I’ve received so many messages asking about the bags, so let’s talk about them 💕
I don’t think any of us realized what we were getting ourselves into when we decided to make hand-dyed bags for the One Skein Knitting gift sets 🙃
What started as «Wouldn’t it be nice to include a project bag?» somehow turned into seven people hauling 5-gallon buckets, measuring soda ash, dyeing for hours, and using approximately 7349 clothespins to hang bag after bag to dry.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
One of my most treasured discoveries during this book project has been realizing just how many wonderful people surround me. These bags are a beautiful reminder that I could never have done this alone.
Each one is ice-dyed by hand in small batches, so every fold, burst of color, and marbled pattern is completely unique. They’re lined, have two pockets, and are designed to be a cozy home for your next project, whether you’re knitting on the couch or on the go. And the golden logos? Oh my ✨
To my amazing friends: thank you. This simply would not have happened without your help, expertise, encouragement, and willingness to say, «Sure, let’s spend a couple of days in your backyard dyeing hundreds of bags together» 🩷
And to all of you: thank you for taking these special bags home. Also, once they’re gone, they’re definitely gone 😅

Let’s have a look at the most exciting thing about the book - 18 new patterns inside it!
One Skein Knitting was designed to showcase a variety of yarn weights from lace to Aran in a wide range of colorways. I’m proud of introducing a color compatibility marker to all of the patterns: it shows how adventurous you can go from solid to heavy variegated. All to take out the guesswork and find a perfect match for that special skein 💛
