As part of our Leadership program, we were happy to welcome Dixie Baus, Director of Real Estate Development at Eden Housing, who shared her insights about the ins and outs of affordable housing. According to Dixie, to build one affordable housing project with 100 units in the City of Redwood City, it would cost over $72 million and take approximately 5 years. Eden has more than 50 years of experience addressing the region’s affordable housing challenges and had developed/acquired more than 10,000 homes throughout California, which made them an ideal partner for our speakers series.
