This week on Real Talk with Grace Redman is the wise and grounding Brenda Reynolds!
Have you ever felt stuck in a season where the future feels foggy and the pressure to “figure it out” is overwhelming?
In this week’s episode of Real Talk, I sit down with , leadership consultant, executive coach, award-winning author, and TEDx speaker, for a powerful conversation about navigating uncertainty with clarity, grace, and intention.
From Fog to Forward Movement
Brenda introduces her concept of transition fog, those moments when anxiety, fear, and emotion cloud our ability to see what’s next. Instead of forcing answers, she teaches us how to move forward one step at a time using what she calls “low beams.”
Why this episode matters:
🔹 Why uncertainty is unavoidable, and often necessary
🔹 How forcing clarity can actually slow progress
🔹 The power of focusing on the next right step
🔹 Why gratitude is grounding, not toxic positivity
🔹 The difference between authenticity and trauma bonding
🔹 How leaders can show up with energy, not perfection
🔹 Why being seen and heard matters more than being fixed
This episode is a reminder that you don’t need all the answers to move forward. You just need presence, patience, and trust in yourself.

Thank you for being on this journey with us!
Grace
P.S. If you’re standing in uncertainty right now, this conversation will help you breathe, slow down, and find your footing again.
Burnout isn’t caused by ambition; it’s caused by the absence of boundaries.
Delicia Coppersmith explains why working fewer hours with intention creates more energy, clarity, and momentum. Hustle doesn’t mean giving everything away. It means deciding what deserves your time and protecting it.

Have you ever met someone whose story shifts your whole perspective?
In the latest episode of Real Talk, I sit down with the electrifying DJ Ahmed, an Iraqi-born refugee who turned the chaos of war and displacement into an unstoppable force for joy, healing, and unity.
🎶 From Basra to the Bay
Ahmed shares his emotional journey: escaping war-torn Iraq at age nine, arriving in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district a different kind of battleground and discovering his gift for bringing people together through music.
🔥 Why this episode hits hard:
🔹 Ahmed reveals how surviving bombings shaped his life’s purpose: to create peace through joy.
🔹They explore the deep roots of oppression and the shared humanity between divided communities.
🔹A powerful look at identity, racism in corporate spaces, and why diversity isn’t just “good business” it’s a moral imperative.
🔹And of course, how Latinx culture, San Francisco, and a love for dabke, salsa, and reggaeton helped DJ Ahmed find home again.
This episode isn’t just a conversation, it’s a movement. You’ll laugh, cry, and maybe even dance in your seat 💃🏽.

He’s not just preserving the history of football. He’s rewriting what it means to serve the people who built it.
Meet Kenneth Crippen, a nationally recognized football historian, award-winning author, and founder of the Football Learning Academy (FLA). Over the past 30 years, Ken has interviewed hundreds of players, coaches, and pioneers. He’s been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, The History Channel, ESPN Radio, and more.
His goal?
To preserve the stories of the game and give back to the players who helped build it. Many of these legends now suffer from chronic injuries, memory loss, and financial hardship, long after the crowds stop cheering.
This week on Real Talk, I had the privilege of sitting down with Ken Crippen for a conversation that left me deeply inspired.
In our conversation, Ken shares:
✅ How he built FLA while juggling a demanding full-time career
✅ The importance of boundaries for avoiding burnout
✅ The hidden struggles of retired NFL players
✅ Why marketing to the right audience changed everything
✅ How football history became a vehicle for service
Reminder:💡“If you’re not enjoying yourself, you’re going to burn out, and you won’t show up as your full self.”
This isn’t just about football. It’s about leadership, legacy, and building something meaningful with the time you have.
