🎃 I’ve been diving deep into nutrition lately, and handing my students the usual sugar bombs just didn’t feel right. This year, I joined “Tricked by the Treat!”
✨ What’s NOT in my bowl: high-fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, GMOs, gluten, or artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.
Instead, it’s full of fun, organic, allergy-friendly treats my students actually love! 🍫🌿

Looking for a good book to read? 📚 My mother, a retired English and history teacher, just published her third novel! "Trapped" is her best book yet and is now available on Amazon. Hope your 4th of July weekend is going better than it is for the characters in her book!
"Two men, three women, a toddler and an infant are trapped in an office building elevator on the long Fourth of July weekend. The emergency button doesn’t connect and their cell phones can’t get a signal. These strangers have to figure out how to survive until they are rescued which could be days. What will they eat and drink? How can they relieve themselves? Will they all survive being trapped? No one knows they are in the elevator. Family members contact the police and the search for the missing begins."

Elizabeth Bonker, the valedictorian of the Rollins College graduating class of 2022, is affected by a form of autism that doesn’t allow her to speak, but that didn’t stop her from delivering an inspiring message to her fellow graduates in Winter Park, Florida.
She typed her speech using one finger with a communication partner holding a keyboard. Bonker used text-to-speech software to deliver her powerful commencement address.
“God gave you a voice. Use it. And no, the irony of a non-speaking autistic encouraging you to use your voice is not lost on me. Because if you can see the worth in me, then you can see the worth in everyone you meet.” -Elizabeth Bonker
