Vishwa Shanthi, est. in 1999 by Smt. Shreelata Suresh, aims to promote peace through dance & allied arts via Bharatanatyam classes & company performances.

Artistic Director, Shreelata Suresh, established Vishwa Shanthi Dance Academy in the fall of 1999. Vishwa Shanthi always sought to emphasize the spiritual and subliminal aspects of art and not just the physical aspect. Bharatha Natyam, with its roots in the Natya Shastra, is a sacred art. It is a fusion of music, rhythm, sacred geometry, yoga, worship, therapy, sculpture, poetry, harmony and beaut

y. It is the perfect blending of all the dimensions of the created being - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Through lessons, lecture-demonstrations, storytelling, and performances, we strive to create new audiences for Bharatha Natyam who can appreciate the sacredness of the art form and elevate their consciousness. Thus classical dance can become a form of collective meditation centering on beauty, sacred music, harmony and rhythm and thus promote peace.

We are delighted to share that our students will be presenting a Bharatanatyam performance as part of the Krishna Jayanthi Celebrations organised by Krishna Balaram Mandir.

The dancers of the evening are: Agaja Sakthivel, Mahati Srinivasan Mahati Srinivasan, Akalya Rajasekar, Saanvi Gunadal , Samiksha Sivanesan, Aiswarya Selvakumar aiswarya selvakumar & Kinnera Chiliakamary kinnera.

Swipe through to see highlights from our student Uma Manthina’s performance at the 2026 Guru Purnima Cultural Celebrations at Naga Sai Temple, Santa Clara.

Uma’s performance featured Ananda Narthana Ganapathim, Sathulala Choodare, Chandrakauns Tillana, and Jaya Jaya Durge.

We are happy to see our students actively participating in community cultural events and sharing their learning through performance.
