Congratulations to Alaa, Firoozeh, and Mimi for completing our highest level ESL courses in all three skills (the โESL trifecta!โ)
[slide 1] Alaa, a true super student who has attended Word Jam, Grammar and Editing Workshops, and pronunciation class and has passed ENGL 100! She says โhaving the passion to learn and succeed is the most important way that helped me throughout my path to graduating with my degree. I would like to encourage current students to... [push] through the difficulties to achieve their goals.โ
[slide 2] Firoozeh, who writes โjust a quick note to say, I appreciate professors Evan Kaiser, Sue Hwang An, and Todd Windisch and your time you spend helping me on many occasions. I learned many skills during these semesters; [even though] there were times during the semester when I wanted to give up, you gave me the confidence to keep going.โ We are so proud of your perseverance and performance! I, professor Kaiser, want to thank you for your energy and engagement in class these last two terms โ congratulations!
[slide 3] Mimi, originally from Vietnam, enjoys subjects involving numbers, but that didnโt stop her from reading a challenging full-length book in English which she used in her insightful research paper! In her spare time, Mimi enjoys yoga, walking, cooking, listening to music, shopping, and selling products from home. She prides herself on being friendly, collaborative, and able to deal with challenges under pressure.
We are inspired by you, and our other talented, dedicated students, every day! ๐๐๐ Have an excellent summer! โ๏ธ
