Happy International Day of the Girl! Today, we’re celebrating our girls + the joy they bring as they create, learn + grow together. 🌍🎨

We give young women and girls space to share their ideas, try something new + discover what brings them joy. Along the way, they build confidence, make friends + get to show up as themselves.

That’s what we love about moments like this. Creativity + connection, with room for every girl to feel seen, supported + proud of what she has to share. 💫

Today, we’re slowing down a little, looking back on this week + taking in all the love from our anniversary celebration.

10 years of Get Empowered!. 20 years of Global Arts To Go. So many people who have shared their gifts, shown up for our youth + helped us keep going. 🌍💜

Happy Anniversary to US! 🎉💜🌍

Last night, we celebrated 10 YEARS of Get Empowered! and 20 YEARS of Global Arts To Go with the incredible community that has helped make this journey possible!

What a NIGHT. ✨

We danced. We sang. We celebrated culture, creativity, community, and the impact we’ve built together over the years.

To our Teaching Artists, youth, families, partners, supporters, artists, educators, volunteers, friends, and everyone who has been part of this journey… THANK YOU. 💜🫂🫂🫂

Together, we’ve impacted more than 100,000 young people across 22 cities and 7 countries, built a community of 301+ artists, educators, mentors and facilitators, and established 468+ school and community partnerships and program sites.

We’ve produced 258 intergenerational community events, reached more than 7,300 people through healing arts and disaster-relief support, and created opportunities for 5,926+ youth, families, educators and artists to experience the arts through field trips.

Last night was a beautiful reminder that this work has always been about what becomes possible when we come together.

The circle continues. And we’re just getting started. 🌍✨

Hey Get Empowered! fam! Happy Sunday. It’s a beautiful day to recharge. 💜✨

Sometimes, recharging looks like getting out together, experiencing the arts, and making memories with your people. And this moment with our Get Empowered! community is giving us plenty to smile about! 🥰

We love opportunities to bring our youth and families together beyond the classroom. To see artists share their magic, discover something new, and have a shared experience to talk about on the way home.

As we get ready for another week, let’s make room for more of what fills us up. Maybe that’s catching a performance, exploring art with your family, or spending time with people who make you laugh.

Because after a full week of learning, our youth deserve moments where they can shake it out, be themselves, connect with each other, and just have FUN. That’s part of the magic too. 💫

It’s Teaching Artist Tuesday, and we’re showing love to our Dream Team! 💜🤍💜

We get to work with so many brilliant artists from around the world. Each one brings their culture, stories, and their own way of connecting with our youth. They share what’s been passed down to them and make room for our young people to find their own voices, too.

At our school programs, special events, and community activations, these are the folks bringing everyone together. Teaching a new step, getting the whole room into the rhythm, and cheering on that young person who’s finally ready to join in.

To all the Dream Teams within our Get Empowered! community, we see you and appreciate you! Thank you for the heart, care, and creativity you bring to our youth through arts, education, and wellness.
