The journey of self-compassion begins with letting go of the belief that we are flawed. As we embrace our wholeness and move beyond self-judgment, we open the door to true freedom and love. 🌿

May we all trust in our innate goodness and accept ourselves just as we are.

Experiencing concern and care for others touches us deeply. Empathy is essential, but over-identification can cause empathic distress. Being able to regulate our empathy allows us to include the experiences of others without being overwhelmed.

Every day I grieve… but each day brings me thoughts and feelings I can’t predict.

How can you support someone who is grieving? Just let them know that you are there for them, in whatever way they need, knowing that each day might be different.

Some days grief just feels like this. Go easy and be kind to yourself. It ok not to feel ok sometimes. 💜

Hiding the truth about death and dying has been a common practice for many years, one that I think needs to change.
Especially with children.

I do think we need to be careful with the words we use, and how we say them, but by being honest with them, it allows them the opportunity to say their own goodbyes, and I think that’s a gift for them as well as the person who is dying.

The other benefit of being honest and telling the truth, is less regret and guilt later on.
