De Zavala Diamonds spent the day strengthening skills across science, math, and language arts through hands-on learning and meaningful practice.

Ms. Escalante guided students in developing a strong hypothesis and observing the properties of different materials through an investigation with cornstarch, oil, and water.

In math, Ms. Beck brought place value to life with an engaging movement activity, while Ms. Soper’s class worked with like units to strengthen mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

In language arts, Ms. Woodard guided students through personal narratives, including proper subject pronoun usage when using phrases such as “my friends and I.”

Just another Tuesday in , where students are learning by doing, asking questions, and applying their knowledge all day long!

San Marcos High School Class of 2022 alumna Avery Pacheco is taking her dance career to the professional level after being selected from hundreds of applicants to join the San Antonio Spurs Silver Dance Team!

As a Rattler, Avery was a member of the National Honor Society and AVID program and served on the Principal’s and Superintendent’s Advisory Councils. She earned the Superintendent Female Student Excellence Award for her graduating class and helped lead the nationally award-winning Diamond Line team as Spirit Leader, First Lieutenant, and Team Captain.

After graduating from San Marcos High School, Avery attended Tarleton State University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology while dancing with the Texan Stars Dance Team. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Business Management and is expected to graduate in December 2026.

Congratulations, Avery! We are proud to see you represent Rattler Nation as you pursue your dreams and take this exciting next step in your dance career!
