De Zavala Diamonds spent the day strengthening skills across science, math, and language arts through hands-on learning and meaningful practice.
Ms. Escalante guided students in developing a strong hypothesis and observing the properties of different materials through an investigation with cornstarch, oil, and water.
In math, Ms. Beck brought place value to life with an engaging movement activity, while Ms. Soper’s class worked with like units to strengthen mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
In language arts, Ms. Woodard guided students through personal narratives, including proper subject pronoun usage when using phrases such as “my friends and I.”
