Bobcat Break allows students to travel to communities and engage in service and experiential learning during university breaks. These short-term service trips provide an all-inclusive experience for students while providing a learning experience on issues such as culture, environment, homelessness, hunger, literacy, and poverty. The Next Up: Internship Program is an extensive internship program for undergraduate students who are interested in deepening their leadership identity and further practicing their commitment to service!

Interns will have the following opportunities:
• Attend a team building retreat
• Conduct presentations and consultations that aid in the leadership building of other Bobcats
• Be a trip leader for Bobcat Break: Alternative Spring Break experience (including waiving all trip fees)
• Be the student voice for the Leadership & Service Area
• Learn and grow your own leadership practice with five other dedicated student leaders plus a graduate and staff mentor
• And More!

Day 1 of S.I.S.L.R. has come to an end. Students learned more about themselves by diving deeper into strengths, discussed their roles as leaders on campus and completed the Gumdrop Tower Challenge!

As we wrap up , it's clear to see we LOVE our SIAs! You can see these welcoming faces at our front desk located on the 4th floor of Texas State University - LBJ Student Center They're always willing to assist and help a fellow Bobcat with questions on how to get involved.

Meet Chloe (she/they)! Chloe is our newest SIA but we've enjoyed every minute they've been around. When asked what was their favorite thing about working with Student Involvement, Chloe said "the people I work with!"

Meet Eva (she/hers)! She's been a member of our SIA family since the summer of 2021. Her favorite program from our department is Bobcat Build.

"I love the idea of getting to give back to the San Marcos community and help those in need!!"

Meet Lacey (she/hers)! She's been involved with Student Involvement as an officer for Bobcat Preview and is currently one of our SIAs.

"My favorite thing about being a student employee is the family environment of Student Involvement! I am so grateful for all the outstanding people I get to work with every day, the laughs, the programs I get to help put on, and the once-in-a-lifetime experiences I get the honor of having here."

Meet Trinity (she/hers), our Student Involvement Associate (SIA) Student Manager! She's been with us since 2019 and is set to graduate this May! Her favorite Student Involvement Chartered Student Org is SACA Texas State
