If your child is currently a student at Bonham, you do NOT need to register at this time. You will register your student after May 1st as a returning student 👍🏽.

Congratulations to Crockett's 2022 Battle of the Books Team! Hazel, Manjita, and Abby will be competing against other SMCISD Elementary schools in the district Battle of the Books in May!

Storybook Character Dress Up Day is coming! Friday, October 28th dress up as any character in a book! No (non COVID) masks or weapons!

Welcome back to another school year! If your student did the 1000 Minutes of Reading Challenge over the summer please turn in those logs by Friday, September 17th as the Reader's Breakfast is Thursday, September 23rd at 7:45 in the library. The log can be digital, paper, or the same as the public library. Coming up on Friday, October 19th is Storybook Character Dress Up Day. More information on that will be in the November newsletter.
Please consider purchasing the optional device insurance for $35. This protects the device against breakage--cracked screens, broken charging ports, bad batteries etc and keeps families from bearing the cost of the entire repair. If you are coming to Back to School Night on Thursday for younger siblings please bring any devices or other materials your now 6th graders have checked out from Crockett.

Parents of Crockett Super Stars: If you had a fifth grader last year (now 6th) I will be collecting Chromebooks Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. They can be dropped off in the office. Thank you!

Are you reading every day? Your reading "muscles" need practice over the summer! Keep track of your minutes on any paper, computer file, anywhere really, and when you reach 1000 minutes you earn a spot at the Back To School Crockett Readers Breakfast!
