Today, our sign went up. 🥹

It may look like just a sign, but for Godfrey Learning Academy, it represents so much more.

GLA started small. We taught, learned, grew, and built something special one day at a time. And today, seeing our name standing outside of our school felt like one of those moments where you stop and realize just how far you’ve come.

We are no longer a little school operating out of a dining room.

We are Godfrey Learning Academy, an accredited private microschool with a place of our own, a growing school family, and so much ahead of us.

There was something about seeing our name on that sign that simply said:

We are here. We are established. And we are here to stay.

This was a big day for GLA. 💙

We’ve been featured in Community Impact! 🎉

What started in our living room with 8 kids has grown into an accredited PreK-8th grade microschool serving 24 students, and now we’re making the move to San Marcos for the 2026-27 school year with even more room to grow.

We are so proud of what this community has built together, and there’s still room for a few more families to join us. Three spots remain in our K-2 classroom!

Big news from Godfrey Learning Academy!

This week, we are officially making our home in San Marcos, Texas and we could not be more excited about what is ahead. GLA is a small, accredited microschool where students are truly known, teachers have real autonomy, and learning actually feels good.

And we are growing! We are looking for a passionate 3rd–5th grade teacher to join our team this fall.

• Only 8 students in your classroom
• Fridays off
• $25/hour
• $5,000 summer stipend upon contract renewal
• Start date: August 1, 2026

Certification preferred but not required. We care more about your heart for kids and your willingness to learn and grow with them than your credentials.
