Reaching this milestone ensures that the Marilyn J. McWilliams Spirit of Inclusive Excellence Award will serve as a lasting legacy for our students in the years to come. We are moved by your commitment to championing inclusive excellence.

We’re calling on our Cougar community to consider a gift to the Marilyn J. McWilliams Spirit of Inclusive Excellence Award. This special award honors those who go above and beyond to foster a truly inclusive environment on campus.

April 1, the Office of Inclusive Excellence is participating in Cougar Crowdfunding to raise the remaining funds towards the endowment of the Marilyn J. McWilliams Spirit of Inclusive Excellence Award. This campuswide effort reflects our shared commitment to uplifting students who embody the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their classrooms, communities, and beyond!
The endowment will help us establish the award, which will celebrate students who lead with courage, compassion, and a deep dedication to creating a more just and welcoming CSUSM. Your contribution directly supports their educational journey, helping remove financial barriers so they can continue their work as advocates, scholars, and changemakers!

Throughout March, the Women & Gender Equity Center (WGEC) at California State University San Marcos is hosting a series of meaningful events that honor the history, leadership, resilience, and lived experiences of women across our communities.
