Bobcat Blend Compost

We are looking for new recruits for our Bobcat Blend team! If you are interested please send me a DM so I can share more Information with you!

Hey guys! So today we will be combining with the Bobcat Farm club to learn about all things compost as well as compost tea.
✅ For those who are interested in making a take home kitchen scrap bin it will be $10 to cover the cost of materials which we will provide! You can fill you kitchen scrap bin with any food scraps that you collect and you can bring the bins back to have them composted!
Even if you decide not to make a bin everyone is welcome to come learn about composting!

Bobcat Blend is being honored by the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling at the 2022 Texas Recycling Summit with the First Place award in the Innovative Organics Diversion category!

Our team of 6-8 students haul & recycle at least 100 tons of food, grounds waste, and river w**d waste from campus and convert it into a valuable material to be used back on campus and within our community.

Our team is very thankful for this award and we look forward to completing our mission of building a more sustainable campus! ♻️💚

Hey Composters! ♻️ Since the semester is about to start back up, here’s a reminder of what we do! •We are faculty managed, student-run, grant-supported research and teaching-oriented waste management campus composting program at Texas State University! •We focus on capturing food waste from the dining halls on campus including Jones, Commons, Harris, The Den, LBJ Student Center along with Lampasses Coffee shop & the Nutrition lab. •We are currently selling compost and accepting volunteers to be a part of our award-winning team.
