We are so proud of our 2026 Graduates! Way to go!
05/06/2026
We just wrapped up the final presentation of our CEHHS Student Leadership Ambassador Team—and what a way to close out the year.
This group didn’t just meet expectations—they redefined them. From launching a dynamic podcast series to creating meaningful engagement activities and powerful storytelling initiatives, their impact has been felt across our entire CEHHS community. They doubled our social media activity, elevated our presence, and set a new standard for what student leadership can look like moving forward.
Their efforts were recognized campus-wide as they were named 2026 Campus Organization of the Year—a well-deserved honor that reflects their creativity, dedication, and collaboration.
I’m incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished and the legacy they leave for next year’s team.

Melanie Escoto – The Public Health SWIFT Program was her Motivator
By Daniel Lopez
For first-year student Melanie Escoto, college is not just about earning a degree, it’s about building community, embracing opportunity, and learning how to balance ambition with enjoyment. Currently majoring in Public Health at California State University San Marcos, Melanie has already immersed herself in campus life while maintaining an impressive academic record. A member of the women’s volleyball club, an inductee of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society (ALD) Honor Society, and a student on the Dean’s List, Melanie exemplifies what it means to be both driven and engaged. Despite her academic commitments, she makes time to appreciate the little moments that define her college experience, especially the scenic views from the Green Roof atop the University Student Union building, one of her favorite spots on campus.
