Our chapter president, Alejandra Sanchez ’03 and Rodolfo Sanchez ’25—both former students of Professor Strother, had the privilege of being there to show their support, and enjoy some red carpet time with the cast and director, Antonio Muñoz de Mesa.

One of the most heartfelt elements of our Día de los Mu***os celebration is the community altar, where we invite you to honor someone special in your life—a loved one whose memory you’d like to celebrate. Whether it’s a family member, mentor, or friend, we invite you to submit a photo to be included in the altar, allowing their spirit to be part of this collective tribute and sharing their legacy with the CSUSM community.

We are pleased to co-sponsor this Arts & Lecture Program led by Dr. Yanira Hernandez - a first-gen Latino therapist, education and advocate.

Join us for a powerful and affirming campus event that honors the resilience, wisdom and lived experiences of first-generation students, staff and faculty. This event includes a student panel and an interactive workshop that will guide participants in reclaiming their stories and identities as sources of strength. Food and refreshments provided.
