On March 8 - 11, The Center for Professional Sales team competed at the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) at Kennesaw State University.
The 2024 national team was composed of the following students: Britney Blood (role play and speed selling); Parker Callaway (speed selling); Kade Campbell (role play and speed selling); Kimberlin Khan (role play); Kyle Kitagawa (role play); and Taylor Lack (speed selling). The faculty coach was Vicki West. The graduate student coaches were Nick Szabo and Paige Franklin.
Results for the competition include a quarter finalist finish in role play for Kimberlin Khan, and two national championship trophies in speed selling. Taylor Lack won the first place trophy in Speed Selling for the Pacesetter company, and Kade Campbell won the first place trophy for Gartner.

Dr. Rick Wilson recently published "Out-of-Home Advertising: A Bibliometric Review." The sources used by scholars say a lot about the quality of their research and how their information is disseminated to others in the field. Dr. Wilson evaluated citation patterns found in 343 academic articles about out-of-home advertising published between 1971 and 2020 and identified the most influential authors, articles, and journals shaping the medium.
Two important implications from the research are the need to use appropriate theoretical framing and big data to improve our understanding and utility of out-of-home advertising.

Dr. Linda Alkire recently published "Improving Life on Planet Earth โ A Call to Action for Service Research to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," an article that lays the foundation for understanding how service research can contribute to creating opportunities for all, aligning with the global development goals. It focuses on Service Research Theme 2, which encompasses SDG4 (Quality Education), SDG5 (Gender Equality), and SDG10 (Reduced Inequalities).
