I love a handwritten note.
Saying goodbye to graduating students is a bittersweet experience.
I'm sad to see them move on.
I'm happy to have had time to make music with them.
I keep these little cards as a reminder....
that music is powerful
music is joyful
music makes an impact
music can change the world
children are powerful
children are joyful
children make an impact
children will someday change the world

Our littlest musicians (babies–4 years old) are wrapping up their Spring semester NEXT week with a mini celebration class - Instrument Day! 🥳🎶
This fun “show & tell” style class gives each child a chance to bring an instrument from home and share it with their friends.
We often see simple favorites like toy keyboards, little drums, or tiny flutes and we love them all!
Got a musical family member? Parents and loved ones are welcome to join as special guest performers, too.
There’s nothing sweeter than making music together. ♥️
What will your child bring to Instrument Day?

🪲🐞🐛🦋 I spy cute little Blue Bugs students ready to move on to playing piano this fall! 🎹🎶
The past 8 months, we’ve been building a strong foundation in staff awareness, interval recognition, tonal center, steady beat, subdivision, chord function, and many other essential skills.
All of these will support piano playing and continued musical growth in the years ahead!

Ok, so I gotta hear it... which one are you?
Is there any truth to this assessment? 😅🎶

Our year-end showcase is in just a couple of weeks!
It's very normal for children to feel anxious to perform. The only way through performance nerves is to prepare as much as possible.
Following these simple steps can help children feel more prepared for the big day!
Are there any other tips you would add that help you feel more prepared for a performance?
