Dr. Stefania Patrizi from the University of Texas at Austin will talk about "The Fractional Laplacian and the Peierls-Nabarro Model" on Friday, April 24, 3:30-4:30pm, DERR 329.

Dr. Kate Melhuish was awarded the Annie and John Selden Prize for research in undergraduate mathematics education. This award is given by the Mathematics Association of America to one outstanding scholar every two years who is within their first ten years of research.
