CSUSM Alumni Association

The CSUSM Alumni Advisory Council and chapter leadership were honored to tour Black Oak Hall and Kwíila Dining yesterday.

The seven-story residence hall – which includes a 10,000-square-foot dining facility – has 555 beds, providing affordable housing for underserved, low-income students.

Opening in the Fall 2026 semester, the project will expand access to affordable, on-campus housing while reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to student success.

2013 vs 2026: Same steps. Different day.

More than 4,000 students are expected to graduate from Cal State San Marcos this academic year, including six standouts from the Class of 2026 who are receiving special recognition for their achievements. Honorees were nominated by faculty or staff and endorsed by their college’s dean.
