👘🧵✈️ Fashion without borders.
Our Fashion Merchandising faculty-led program recently returned from an incredible journey through Japan and Vietnam, where students explored the intersection of fashion, culture, craftsmanship, and global industry.
The experience began in Tokyo with a traditional tea ceremony and kimono experience before students explored the city's dynamic retail landscape through professional visits and guided fashion tours, including an inside look at Japan's iconic street fashion culture.
In Vietnam, students discovered another side of the fashion industry through perfume crafting, textile and factory tours, visits to local fabric markets, the historic Silk Village near Hanoi, and Kilomet 109, an eco-friendly fashion brand preserving traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship. Along the way, they also explored museums and connected with the rich history and culture that continue to influence fashion today.
From luxury retail to sustainable design, traditional craftsmanship to modern manufacturing, students experienced firsthand how fashion connects people, cultures, and communities around the world. 🌏✨
