California Update: Legislature Introduces Numerous Bills Regarding Dogs – American Kennel Club The California legislative session has begun, and AKC Government Relations (AKC GR) is tracking several bills of interest to dog owners. We also are closely watching for any amendments or other actions, as animal activists have made public comments indicating their desire to regulate breeders.

Dog Expo Feb 24 & 25th at the Silver Bay Dog Show at Del Mar (San Diego) Fairgrounds. Meet many breeds under the large tent and now going on decades - our wonderful San Diego Poodle Club will be hosting a booth too - please come by and talk POODLES!
PARKING - Fairgrounds will charge $20.00 fee at main gate off Jimmy Durante Blvd. per vehicle as day of show parking or a 3-day pass can be purchased for $20.00 at Solana Gate only, subject to change, No admission charge per person.

Congratulations to Duxbury My Ten Cents MH51 MNH SHU, call name Dime, on becoming the first Poodle in history to receive an AKC Master National Hunter (MNH) title. Dime is bred, owned, trained by Jack Combs of Advance, North Carolina.
With this title, Dime becomes a member of the 2023 AKC Retriever Hall of Fame…a first for her breed. Dime Qualified in 2019, 2021 and 2023. Dime’s three Master National passes earned her talented Owner/Breeder/Trainer and Handler, Jack D. Combs, an Amateur Team Excellent Award from the Master National Retriever Club.
