German TXST

Looking for middle schoolers to join our Zoom German lessons, free of charge. Our Texas State student interns will teach ten lessons every Tuesday 5:30 - 6:20 pm, September 15th - November 17th. The lessons are fun - our interns are very creative and motivate the kids through games, songs, and engaging personal interactions. This is our 7th year offering the program to Central Texas kids.
To sign up, parents need to contact Dr. Siwak: ewasiwakATtxstate.edu
The student has to be in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.

Yesterday, three German majors: Xitlali Carroll, Emmy Hicks, Hunter Ford, plus Blake Moore, a great friend of our program, graduated from Texas State University. Wir gratulieren herzlichst! Go far and do good!

UPDATE: Sarah Hennig has been selected for a U.S. Teaching Assistantship administered by Fulbright Austria on behalf of the Austrian government. She will be teaching in the picturesque town of Waidhofen an der Ybbs in Lower Austria. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Sarah!

The German program proudly congratulates Hunter Ford, a German minor, on being accepted to the University of Oregon School of Law. He was also awarded the Oregon Law Faculty Distinction Scholarship. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

Ty is heading to the UK to study Medieval History at the University of York 🇬🇧, and Hunter will pursue an MA in History at Texas State 📚
