The Soap Box Derby is a beloved tradition held since 1967 and is an annual favorite during Homecoming. Student organizations build homemade cars and race them against each other. Pictured here are a group of students celebrating their Soap Box Derby win sometime in the 1980s. Today, participating teams compete for trophies and points toward the highly coveted Homecoming “Spirit Award.”

What a night in Downtown San Marcos! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Cats on the Crawl and brought the Bobcat spirit to The Square ahead of our matchup against UNT. 😺

It was great to see Bobcats reconnecting with fellow alumni, repping maroon and gold with pride, and celebrating TXST throughout the evening. 🐾

Thank you for supporting Huddle Against Hunger Together! 😺🤙

Bobcats and Roadrunners rallied together around one shared mission: helping students overcome food insecurity. Together, we raised over $30,000 to support our campus food pantries!

For college students facing several expenses, food is often one of the first areas where tight budgets require difficult choices. That's why resources like Bobcat Bounty matter.

Thanks to RBFCU, our generous corporate sponsor, TXST and UTSA will receive an additional $15,000 each to tackle hunger on our campuses. 💛
