The School of Education would like to welcome all those interested in becoming a credentialed teacher to an Advising/Information Session tonight, Feburary 6th, 2013. The session will be held on campus in University Hall 237 and will begin at 5:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there.

Saturday night was an exciting night for Jennifer McSparran, who is a Special Education teacher at Mt. Woodson Elementary School in Ramona. Jennifer, who completed her Level II Education Specialist Credential and her M. A. In Education (Special Education emphasis) at Cal State San Marcos was honored as a San Diego County Teacher of the Year!
Also among the 42 finalists representing 26,000 San Diego County teachers was Laura Valencia-Griffin, a two-time Oceanside Unified Teacher of the Year. Laura is a graduate of our Concurrent Special Education Credential Program, and has received recognition as BOTH a Special Education AND a General Education teacher!
