Central Texas Regional Training Academy is accepting applications for qualified Fire Instructors.

💰 Pay: $20–$35 per hour

Additional compensation and benefits may include:

✅ Meal per diem

Minimum requirements:

✅ IFSAC HazMat Awareness and Operations
✅ IFSAC Firefighter I and II
✅ TCFP Instructor I
✅ TCFP Field Examiner

Academy Class Foxtrot is rolling into Firefighter I!

This morning, all 30 cadets completed their TCFP HazMat Awareness and Operations exams. As part of CTRTA’s accelerated weekday academy, cadets test in all four certification areas during class hours—and this group continues to produce outstanding pass rates!

Over the coming days, these cadets will train hard, overcome challenges, and become a close-knit team. With their dedicated instructors leading the way, the finish line is getting closer.

🚨 MORE FREE TRAINING IS COMING! 🚨

We’ve had an overwhelming amount of interest in our Instructor 1 course — about 75 people to be exact!

Because of that response, CTRTA has decided to partner with fire departments across Texas that are willing to host courses and help us proctor the required skills testing.

That means we can open up even more FREE training opportunities for Texas firefighters.

🔥 Students will only be responsible for their TCFP testing fees.
🔥 No course tuition.
🔥 The more departments willing to host, the more free training we can provide.

We’re currently looking for departments interested in hosting courses such as Instructor 1 & 2, Officer 1 & 2, and Driver/Operator Pumper & Aerial.

If your department has the facilities, equipment, and personnel to help with skills testing, we want to partner with you.
