A special moment for our own at this year’s Illinois Athletic Trainers Association Symposium!
This weekend, Peter Hovorka was surprised with a special recognition award honoring his years of service, leadership, and impact within the athletic training community.
This meaningful recognition came from longtime colleagues, customers, and friends within the association who wanted to celebrate Peter’s contributions and dedication over the years. To make the occasion even more memorable, his family flew in to be part of the surprise.
Congratulations, Peter, on this well-deserved honor! Thank you for the relationships you’ve built, the people you’ve helped, and the lasting impact you’ve made throughout this industry.

Closing out Mental Health Awareness Month celebrating Alert Services Sales Representative, Tanya Marquez, on her featured publication in the May issue of NATA News 💚
As a member of the NATA ATs Care Committee, Tanya continues helping lead conversations around mental wellness, self-care, and support within the athletic training profession.
“When stress is high and your usual coping mechanisms feel strained, self-care habits can serve as your foundation… What happens when self-care isn’t enough? There are times when a crisis hits harder than expected, it affects your ability to function at work or in your personal life. This is where the ATs Care Committee comes in.”
Congratulations, Tanya, on this incredible accomplishment and well-deserved recognition!
And a reminder to all - you are more than this profession. May is ending, but tap into your resources, find what keeps you grounded, keep it as a non-negotiable in your routine and never stop having !

Meet Sara Marie, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Athletic Trainer for the Seattle Mariners Organization!
“I refuse to take my health for granted. When I’m out in the sun with the birds chirping, I feel like I can quiet my mind and 'just be.' When I find myself in a stressful situation at work, I always take a moment to quiet my mind, so that I can make the most thoughtful decisions possible.”
Spending time outdoors and incorporating movement into your routine can help lower stress levels, improve focus, and support overall mental wellness. Even a few intentional moments of movement can help you feel more energized and recharged.

Meet Amber, Assistant Athletic Trainer for the UFL!
"The beach gives me a space to breathe and calms my mind - Kanoa grounds my heart. With both, I’m able to relax without expectations and reset my mind and body."
As an athletic trainer, Amber knows wellness isn't always about pushing harder - sometimes it's stepping outside, staying present, and reconnecting with the world around. Nature, movement, and meaningful moments can all play a role in reducing stress and supporting mental well-being.
