Breastfeeding is the most natural way to feed your baby and it also provides the best nutrition. I have all of the tips and tools you will need to successfully breastfeed, whether it be for three weeks or three years. I provide in-home and telephone lactation consultations that offer encouragement, information, and education to promote a better experience for you and your baby.

Breastfeeding is a learned process and can sometimes present challenges that are difficult to overcome. I am committed to helping you achieve all of your goals in regard to breastfeeding and hope to make this special time as easy as possible.

The following are issues that may suggest the need for a private lactation consultation:
• Your baby is not latching well or is very sleepy and not actively breastfeeding at least 8 times in 24 hours
• You are experiencing nipple discomfort and/or damage, or your breasts have become painfully engorged
• Your baby is having slow weight gain or a weight loss that is over 10%
• You feel that you do not have an adequate supply of milk
• You are returning to work and need support and guidance in pumping and handling/storing expressed milk
• Your baby was premature, was in the NICU, or was small for gestational age
