Fourth of July traditions vary across active duty, Reserve or National Guard, veteran, and civilian populations. For many within the military community, today marks the first victory of the nation. Today we celebrate that!

The last US troops have left Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, ending a nearly 20 year chapter in American history. You, the armed forces, have represented our country with honor and dignity.
