Each year, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Competitive Events Team brings on four long-term interns from universities across the country for an exciting, hands-on semester experience.
Our interns play an essential role in assisting and working with staff, volunteers and superintendents across various competitive events and educational programs throughout the internship.

This week we are featuring a photograph of La Grange High School's FFA 1974 Ag Mechanics team that won first place in Area II competition held April 9 at Southwest Texas State University. Displaying their first place banner are La Grange team members Daniel Kolaja, Danny Janacek, Weldon Hartmann, their teacher Mark Brown, and the Area III contest director Dr. Lon Shell, agricultural mechanics teacher at Southwest Texas State.
