TERI Campus of Life Our mission is to change the way the world sees, helps, and empowers individuals with special needs.

TERI provides training and educational opportunities designed to meet each individual’s unique needs. Since 1980, TERI (𝗧raining, 𝗘ducation, and 𝗥esource 𝗜nstitute) has been dedicated to improving the lives of children, adults, and seniors with developmental and learning disabilities. We believe everyone deserves to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life. Grounded in a culture of wellness, our

programs are designed to support each child, adult, senior, and family we serve, providing opportunities for personal growth and meaningful development. Our new TERI Campus of Life in San Marcos is a 20-acre community offering performing arts, fine arts, fitness, nutrition, social programs, and events. Visitors can enjoy coffee and food at Common Grounds Café, attend performances at The Bornemann Theatre, host special events through TERI Events or visit Inspired Resale in Oceanside. Together, these initiatives foster connection, growth, and meaningful opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and the broader community.

A milestone moment for TERI Campus of Life. 💙

We are honored to share that the David C. Copley Foundation has awarded TERI a $1 million grant to help us complete construction of our Campus of Life in San Marcos.

This incredible investment moves us more than halfway toward our $15 million fundraising goal and brings us closer to breaking ground on the next phase of campus construction.

The next phase will include two new school buildings, allowing students currently served in a leased Oceanside facility to join our primary San Marcos campus and access more of TERI’s programs and resources in one centralized location.

We are deeply grateful to the David C. Copley Foundation for believing in the vision of our campus where individuals with special needs can learn, grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.

Looking for your next great employee? Start with an intern. 💼

Finding dependable employees can be challenging. TERI’s Vocational Internship Program (VIP) connects businesses with motivated neurodiverse interns who receive professional job coaching and ongoing support — at no cost to eligible employers.

Here’s what businesses receive:
• No internship wage costs — eligible internships are funded through the San Diego Regional Center (SDRC).*
• No workers’ compensation costs — coverage is handled through the internship program.*
• Dedicated job coaching — TERI provides on-site training, coaching, communication support and problem-solving.
• A chance to find your next employee — see an intern’s skills and strengths in a real work environment before considering a permanent hire.

How it works: We learn about your business → Match you with a qualified intern → Support training and onboarding → If it’s a great fit, you may choose to hire.

TERI is hiring Part-Time Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to provide meaningful behavioral support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) across our Choices for Adult Learning (CAL) and Country School program. 💙

Today is TERI's 46th anniversary!

Since 1980, we have been dedicated to helping individuals and families in the special needs community lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. Our vision is to be an internationally recognized center of excellence and social change for education, life planning, health and fitness, and research while building model programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and those who support them across the lifespan. 🎉

To celebrate, we're hosting TERI Fest! A free event on Saturday, September 26 at 2pm at the TERI Campus of Life as we mark this special milestone with our community.

Meet some of our Vocational Internship Program (VIP) interns working across the TERI Campus of Life in Agriculture, Facilities Care, Culinary, Equestrian, and Administration!
 
Through paid internships and personalized job coaching, TERI VIP helps participants discover their strengths, build workplace skills, and take the next step toward employment. With a success rate of over 60% in transitioning interns into employment, our program is helping turn workplace experience into meaningful career opportunities. 💙
