Today, our seniors walked the halls of San Marcos High School for the final time as students, marking the end of an unforgettable chapter in their lives.

This emotional milestone was filled with reflection, pride, excitement, and memories as the Class of 2026 celebrated the journey that brought them to graduation. From freshman year to senior year, these students have grown through challenges, accomplishments, friendships, and experiences that have helped shape who they are today.

As they made their final walk through the halls of SMHS, they left behind a legacy of perseverance, leadership, school spirit, and Rattler pride.

We are incredibly proud of our seniors and all they have accomplished throughout their high school journey. The future is bright, and we cannot wait to see all they achieve beyond SMHS.

Yesterday, during our final staff meeting of the year, we proudly celebrated members of our Kudos Collective, perfect attendance honorees, employees reaching milestone years of service, and our retirees.

It was a meaningful opportunity to recognize the dedication, commitment, and impact our staff members continue to make at SMHS each and every day. From celebrating those with perfect attendance to honoring employees reaching 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service, the event highlighted the incredible people who help make our campus successful.

We also took time to honor our retirees and thank them for the years of service, leadership, and care they have given to our students, staff, and community throughout their careers.

As we close out the school year, we are grateful for the teamwork, professionalism, and heart our staff bring to SMHS every day. Thank you for all that you do for our students and our Rattler community.

Yesterday, our seniors participated in their final graduation walkthrough as they prepare to cross the stage in just a couple of days.

This important milestone allowed students to prepare for graduation while reflecting on the journey, memories, and accomplishments that brought them to this moment.

The excitement, anticipation, and pride throughout the walkthrough served as a reminder of all the hard work, perseverance, and dedication the Class of 2026 has demonstrated throughout their time at SMHS.

As graduation quickly approaches, we are incredibly proud of our seniors and cannot wait to celebrate this special achievement with them and their families.

The countdown to graduation is almost over, and the future is bright for our Rattlers!

Today, our seniors had the special opportunity to return to their former elementary and middle school campuses as they prepare for graduation.

Walking the halls where their educational journey first began was a meaningful reminder of how far they have come through years of hard work, growth, perseverance, and support from teachers, families, and staff along the way.

These walks celebrated not only the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 but also the connections and memories that helped shape them into the young adults they are today.

It was inspiring for younger students to see our seniors in their caps and gowns, serving as a powerful reminder that success, growth, and graduation are possible through dedication and determination.

We are incredibly proud of our seniors and look forward to celebrating them as they take the next step toward their future.

Our Culinary students had an incredible opportunity to learn from Matthew Bromley, a two-time Michelin-starred chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Leroy & Lewis.

Chef Bromley visited SMHS to provide our students with guidance, insight, and real-world industry experience as they continue developing their culinary skills and preparing for future careers.

This experience demonstrated learning, collaboration, and career readiness in action as students gained valuable knowledge from a highly accomplished culinary professional.

We are grateful to Chef Bromley for investing his time, expertise, and encouragement into our students while helping inspire the next generation of culinary professionals.

This past week, we proudly celebrated our National Honor Society Inductions and recognized students who exemplify excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Becoming a member of the NHS is a tremendous accomplishment that reflects dedication, hard work, and a commitment to making a positive impact both inside and outside the classroom.

The induction ceremony was a meaningful opportunity to honor students who continue to lead by example while striving for academic excellence and serving their school and community with pride.

We are incredibly proud of our newest NHS members and look forward to the continued impact they will make at SMHS and beyond. Congratulations on this well-deserved achievement!

We are proud to recognize the outstanding students who have earned their Associate’s Degrees and walked the stage at Coastal Bend College in Beeville this past Friday, May 15!
