ABM Intern Highlight: Paige Wilcox 🌱
Our next ABM Intern Highlight is Paige Wilcox! This summer, Paige has been gaining hands-on experience in the seed industry as a Vegetable Seed Intern with Bayer, combining her Agricultural Business background with both the business and field sides of seed production.
Throughout her internship, Paige has helped modernize seed inventory management by organizing records into a central database, creating a new shelving system, designing standardized barcode labels, and implementing a double-check system to help catch errors. She’s also gained valuable field experience working with onion and carrot crops and helping test sweet corn seed to ensure it meets quality standards. 🌱💻
Paige’s involvement in ABM has helped her build the confidence to network with industry professionals and connect with leaders within the company. Her experience attending the IFPA conference also helped grow her interest in the agriculture industry, while ABM has connected her with fellow Agricultural Business students to exchange experiences, advice, and industry knowledge. 🤝🌾
One of Paige’s biggest takeaways from her internship? Be curious, start conversations, and learn from everyone you meet! Every person brings a unique perspective, and the more people you connect with, the more you’ll learn. 💡
