"The Motorcycle Industry Association has implemented multiple RFID tags into motorcycles in the United Kingdom. The tags have an I.D. linking the motorcycle to a database that holds it's make, model, registration number, as well as if the bike has been stolen. This data can be used by the police or by potential buyers to easily and reliably know information about the bike." -Shiv Khanna, CPE Lead

Datatag's MASTER Security Scheme identification system is being used to protect mid-sized motorcycles from theft in the United Kingdom, while city police departments are considering use of the technology for smaller road bikes. - Page 1

"This article strikes me as relevant to this club as it details about a university using drones in order to help track inventory, an idea we had already tried implementing. However, what differentiated them was their idea that instead of hooking a reader onto the drone, there is a reader attached elsewhere and the drone has a tiny relay, which acts like a Wi-Fi repeater. The drone receives the signal sent from a remote RFID reader and then forwards it to read tags nearby. This prevents the bulkiness of a normal RFID drone." - Katie Mei, COO
