I know… I’m tardy with this update. The problem’s been that I find it difficult to talk about Tina’s health on an open channel. That said, I also know she’s always been open with her OMB family about the realities she faces. That’s a lot of reviewing my internal dialog to tell you that she is having good days and bad days, that things are relatively stable, and that we are working on it. All the support from this community helps. Thank You!

The insurance issue has been addressed. Lots of work behind the scenes on that one, and lots of support to keep OMB moving forward. Thank You Again!

I’m writing one too. It’s currently just a string of expletives and pointed adjectives. I’ll let you know when my opinions become publishable. I know somewhere in there is a point of view you might find interesting. For now, I’ll leave you with the fact that I thought it should have been titled - The nightmare Upstairs: Brent’s mom’s edit.

This is a tough one.
OMB was built on a foundation of transparency, truth, and a shared experience. Tina has always incorporated an intrinsic vulnerability into her approach to... everything. I reminded her of this as we discussed how to proceed. In the linked blog, Tina continues that approach as she lays out a tough decision for the OMB community.

Update from Glenn at 10:00pm Pacific:
The immediate response has raised about half of the needed funds. Tina is currently processing the magnitude of the support (I told her this would happen...) Not only does it look like we'll be able to move forward, I think she will sleep well tonight. I will be up early tomorrow and once the goal is reached I will update.

Update from Glenn- Sunday at 5:45 am Pacific: We have raised the funds needed (went over the goal) and will be in touch with each person who donated after our goal was reached to discuss refunds.

WOW, WOW, WOW! This is BIG, BIG, BIG!

This case touched Tina’s heart. She is still passionate about it.

To be clear, we haven’t seen The Nightmare Upstairs: What Happened to Ty and Bryn? and, unfortunately, the trailer suggests it’s going to build and fan controversy. From our perspective the truth should be self-evident. I hope they get it right for Ty and Bryn’s sake. We’ll see along with the rest of the OMB community Tuesday, May 19, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

Undoubtedly, there will be comments and discussion about it here. Which brings me to more big news.

After 36+ years as a Park Ranger, they’re taking my badge from me and putting my guns in the ground because I’m knocking on retirement’s door. (Eric Clapton/GnR reference… I apologize if my style is a little different than Tina’s...)

This will give me more time for updating you about Tina’s health, she is getting an IV treatment today, the future of OMB as we navigate some legal and logistical challenges, and other relevant topics like The Nightmare Upstairs: What Happened to Ty and Bryn?
