🐎💚💛 Student Send Off 2026 hosted by the Bay Area and Central Coast Chapters of the Cal Poly Alumni Association! What a successful event! Great turnout and excellent engagement from parents and students! 🐎💚💛

It was a great dialogue, exchange of ideas, networking, and community building. Many of us Alumni Volunteers were first generation college students who didn’t have the benefit of this type of send off….. but we get to write the next chapter and send off these students (and parents) with a head start, lots of tips, and connections to help ease their transition.

In the words of one student “I'm so lucky to be a part of the Cal Poly community, no other school welcomes us like you all do - I'm so lucky to be here.” —- purpose fulfilled! 💯💯💯

Excited for upcoming events and projects on campus, as we build the Central Coast region. Hoping to book some networking events in South Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, and Santa Maria in the year to come! 💯💯💯💯

🐎💚💛🎓 Blessed and fortunate to be able to represent our Cal Poly Alumni Cal Poly Alumni Association Board of Directors and of course our Latinx Community at the 2026 Commencement Ceremonies, which is also the 125th anniversary of the founding of our school!
The very long day was more than worth it to see the joy and pride that the graduates and their families had as they celebrated this amazing milestone! 🐎💚💛🎓
More to come in a future post, but for now sending HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the graduates and their families! 🐎💚💛🎓

🐎💚💛 Cal Poly Alumni! Our next big event is here! Join us Friday May 15th for the very special and first of its kind collaboration with our Alumni Community and Kennedy Library staff and student researchers: Cal Poly Alumni - Latinx Community: Our Voices Panel Discussion and Reception! 🐎💚💛

Join us on Friday, May 15 for this multi-part event, which includes:
An alumni-student panel discussion bringing to life the "Who We Are And How We Show Up" exhibition; Optional self-guided tour of Kennedy Library and an opportunity for alumni to record their lived experiences in an oral history project; and An alumni networking reception! Please share this invite to any and all alumni!
