The Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) helps students and community members acquire the tools, develop the skills and cultivate the mindset of an entrepreneur so that they may create economic and social value throughout the world. We officially cut the ribbon on our new home! 🎉

Cal Poly celebrated the opening of Cal Poly Downtown on Saturday, Aug. 22, bringing together university and local leaders, donors, partners and community members at 1134 & 1144 Chorro St.

The new 24,000-square-foot downtown location is home to the expanded Cal Poly Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship HotHouse and Mustang Shop downtown, creating more space for entrepreneurship, coworking, events, retail and community connections.

Cal Poly President Jeffrey D. Armstrong, San Luis Obispo County 3rd District Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg, San Luis Obispo Mayor Erica A. Stewart, Cal Poly Partners CEO Cody VanDorn, Orfalea College of Business Dean Damon Fleming and other university and community leaders joined the celebration.

We’re excited for what this new chapter will make possible for Cal Poly and San Luis Obispo.
