Lifelong Learners of the Central Coast (LLCC) is a California Nonprofit Benefit Corporation. We are a qualified non-profit to which contributions are tax deductible. LLCC is a diverse community of independent thinkers who develop curriculum, teach classes, organize events, administer programs, establish friendships, guide excursions and much more.

Not restained to a lecture hall, LLCC went on a nature walk to the Sweet Springs Reserve, recently, for an introduction to bird watching.

Participants learned about many birds, their behaviors, breeding habits, migration, and handy apps to use when identifying birds by chirping sounds. Of course, there were ample opportunites for picture-taking. Three hours flew by.

Marianne Buckmeyer, president of LLCC, proudly gave a check for $250 to Bob Revel , a mainstay of the Moro Bay Bird Festival, on behalf of our organization. The donation was made to support the local festival's work to annually draw visitors, to our area, from around the globe.

Mr. Revel gave a fascinating preview of the Festival, in our latest LLCC offering. The annual affair is a premier 5-day event on California's Central Coast featuring 260+ activities, including expert-led birding trips, pelagic cruises, and workshops. It draws over 700+ attendees for birding, conservation, and art, highlighting diverse habitats.
