For 125 years, generations of Mustangs have learned, grown, built friendships and discovered their passions right here at the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.

This November, we’re celebrating every student who has called CAFES home, past and present.

Hands-on learning in action at the new Charles and Claire Jacobson Animal Health Center. 🐾

During a recent class, CAFES students gained direct experience with feline exams in the center’s new veterinary clinic. This learning space gives students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge, develop practical clinical skills, and learn through real-world animal care experiences.

Thank you to the Cal Poly program for partnering with this class and helping provide students with these valuable hands-on learning opportunities!

Happy Harvest from the Cal Poly Trestle Vineyard! 🍇

These Sauvignon Blanc grapes are officially making their way from vine to w**e! Students at the JUSTIN and J. LOHR Center for W**e and Viticulture got hands-on with harvest, sorting freshly picked fruit that will soon become Cal Poly Sauvignon Blanc.

It doesn’t get much more Learn by Doing than this, working with fruit grown right here at Cal Poly and experiencing the w**emaking process from vineyard to bottle. Cheers to harvest season!

There’s nothing quite like that first run onto the field.
This past weekend, Chase II made his first debut at a football game, leading the Mustangs onto the field and bringing a energy that reverberated through the stadium.
The cheers. The green and gold. Moments like this remind us what it means to be a Mustang.
Here’s to a season full of pride, tradition and plenty more runs with Chase II leading the way.

Today, we proudly dedicated the Charles and Claire Jacobson Animal Health Center, a transformative space that brings hands-on learning, interdisciplinary collaboration and state-of-the-art resources together for our students.
Made possible through years of vision, partnership and generosity, the donor-funded center will help prepare the next generation of animal health professionals to meet the industry’s evolving needs.
Thank you to the Jacobson family and all of our donors, faculty, staff, students and supporters who helped bring this vision to life. We can’t wait to see the ideas, innovations and solutions that begin here.
