The 2017 Western Collegiate Cycling Conference mountain-bike season is a wrap, but Cal Poly Cycling will be remembering this one for years to come.

For the season, claimed first place in the team omnium competition, as well as first and second place in the men's omnium competition with Geremy Patterson and Drake Murphy.

A weekend that started with Hawaiian shirts on Friday ended with multiple trips to the top step of the podium. Hot damn. What a season.

“[The tricycles are] gonna be funky,” Cal Poly Cycling member Derek Klemm said. “Most of the bikes are made out of office chairs and old bikes welded together. There’s definitely going to be some weird contraptions.”

In collaboration with Cal Poly Bike Builders and Cal Poly ASI Bike to School Day, check out the Tricycle Derby this evening. Registration begins at 5 p.m. at Campus Market.

This Thursday is the Tricycle Derby! Cal Poly Cycling is joining forces with the Cal Poly Bike Builders to put on this FREE event for the Cal Poly community. So invite your friends, regardless of whether they are in the club or not! Here are the details:

Where: Outside Campus Market

Make sure you show up between 5:30 and 6:00pm to sign-in. Also, don't forget your helmet!
