Today’s Freshman Retreat was filled with community building, faith, mentoring, panel discussions, and plenty of fun. Our freshmen brought the energy and absolutely blew us away!

There’s nothing like the energy of the first rally of the year! 👑💙💛

Our Royals brought the spirit with plenty of cheering, games, laughter, and fun as we came together to kick off a new school year. A huge shoutout to our Leadership students for doing an amazing job bringing everyone together and making our first rally one to remember!

What’s for lunch at Café Royal?

We’re excited to welcome back two local favorites serving our Royals this year — Mama’s Meatball and Bomburrito!

Café Royal makes lunch easy with a variety of rotating menu options throughout the week. Families can find menus, daily offerings, allergen information and Café Royal details on the MCP website.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Every MCP family must create a BOONLI account for their student. Students will use their BOONLI account when purchasing food from both Mama’s Meatball and Bomburrito, so please make sure your account is set up and ready to go! Please note you will need your students ID for account set up. They received those today at their Jostens picture day or you can find it on your FACTS account. Need help? Reach out to Mrs Carlesha Harris, Director of Business, by calling the school.

Our first Mass of the school year. 💙💛

As we gathered together for the Mass of the Holy Spirit, we were reminded just how much we have to be grateful for.

This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 100 years of Mission College Prep. One hundred years of faith, friendships, traditions, teachers, students, families, and a community that continues to make Mission such a special place.

Today we gave thanks for all God has blessed us with and prayed for our new and returning students, faculty and staff, and the year ahead.

So much to be grateful for. So much to look forward to. 🙏

WELCOME BACK, ROYALS! 💙💛

There’s nothing quite like having our Royals back on campus and seeing our hallways filled once again with friendship, laughter, learning, and so much energy for the year ahead.

At Mission, high school is about so much more than what happens in the classroom. It’s about academic excellence, discovering your strengths, being challenged to grow, and having teachers who pour into you, meet you where you are, and truly care about the person you are becoming.

It’s about college counseling and guidance along the way—helping each student discover what comes next and preparing them for college, career, and life beyond Mission.

It’s about preparing young men and women to lead with faith, scholarship, character, and service.

Most importantly, at Mission, you are seen. You are known. You are loved.

Here’s to a wonderful school year filled with growth, new friendships, hard work, plenty of laughter, unforgettable memories, and all the moments—big and small—that make Mission such a special place.

And after painting the “M”… we celebrate! 💙💛

The perfect way to wrap up Orientation Day 2! After painting the “M,” we headed back to campus for some food, fun, and time together.

Orientation Day 2 💙💛 Welcome, Class of 2030!

We welcomed our freshmen and transfer students for Day 2 of Orientation—and continued one of our most beloved Mission traditions: Painting the “M”! ⛰️🎨

The Mission “M” has stood proudly on San Luis Mountain for more than 60 years. First created by members of the Class of 1964 and rebuilt in its current concrete form by the Class of 1966, the “M” has become a lasting symbol of Royal pride, class unity, friendship, and school spirit.

Each year, our freshmen make the trek up San Luis Mountain to paint the “M” and mark the beginning of their Mission journey. Four years later, they’ll make that same climb again as seniors to repaint it—this time celebrating the friendships, memories, and experiences that shaped their years at Mission. 💙💛

Today, it was the Class of 2030’s turn to begin that tradition!

Welcome to the Royal Family, Class of 2030 and our newest transfer students! 👑 We can’t wait to see all that the next four years will bring.
